SDG Champions
In August 2022 the Department for Education announced that it would invest £2.6 million in West Yorkshire’s colleges through the Strategic Development Fund, funding secured by the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges.
As a result of collaborative working, the funding has helped to enable internal training and development in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within eight West Yorkshire Colleges. They are continuing to work collaboratively to embed the Global Goals set out by world leaders within their college, both from a business perspective and within the curriculum.
The West Yorkshire Colleges SDG Working Group continues to meet twice a year, and shares best practice, ideas and resources. It is formed of the WYCC SDG Champions:
