To support those who have been made redundant due to the COVID-19 crisis, [re]boot courses are now available. Places for the unemployed may be limited however and proof of redundancy will be required.
[re]boot offers individuals the chance to upskill, re-skill and gain employability and sector specific skills, qualifications and training within the Digital, Engineering and Construction sectors.
This project supports Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP) all-age careers and inspiration campaign, #futuregoals, by providing relevant content and practical courses to address the skills shortages in our region.Who is [re]boot for?
You are eligible to join a course if you are over the age of 18, employed, furloughed, at risk of, or facing redundancy and live in Bradford, Calderdale, Craven, Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Selby, Wakefield or York.
If you are employed and would like to develop new skills to progress your career or you are considering a career change, [re]boot could be for you.
[re]boot will benefit individuals to meet their full potential and enter roles in key growth sectors across Leeds City Region and will actively target:
[re]boot will help to improve the overall skill level of the workforce by enabling individuals who are typically marginalised from accessing higher level skills. Training will be designed to drive progression, in particular from Levels 2 to 4 providing an essential springboard for participants looking to progress in priority sectors.
The fully-funded (free) short training courses* will help to meet the immediate demand from employers for specific sector skills, engaging with industry to help shape course content.
*Please note: Individuals may undertake multiple courses however only one course can be fully-funded (free). Any subsequent courses will be charged at full cost.
